I know what you're thinking.
No, you can't get those red pants in adult sizes.
As if the proudness cheesed into my face isn't enough, I still feel little darts of happiness looking at myself in that Rainbow Brite shirt. If I had it, I'd be wearing it right now. I soo wish I knew the dialogue that went on before my mom snapped this awesomeness. Check out my brother acting all nonchalant in the background, as if that great ensemble doesn't even matter.
... If only Steppin' Out Saturdays existed in the '80's ...
My husband, as a ring bearer, walking down the aisle with his sister. He told me he was bribed, that he'd get a toy after he did it. I don't expect this one to say much to you because, well, you're not in love with my hubs. At least I hope you're not?
I could sit for days and look at pictures of him when he was little and just marvel at how well I know his face. It's hard to pinpoint what type of connection I have to his childhood pics - sometimes it feels a little protective and motherly, other times I wish I'd been there with him. I guess if you combine all that, it's just a complete love for him.
To me, this captures innocence. The look in his eyes is completely blank. He doesn't know he's a baby. That he's wearing a diaper. That he has big, pretty ears or mushy, angelic cheeks. His expression is wide open and untouched by the world. This is exactly how I'm always going to remember his face.
