Hey. A little off topic here but I wanted to make a suggestion regarding Carters eating habits, as I used to throw a lot of meals away too. If he seems as though he isn't interested in it after a couple of mouthfuls, try keeping some of it on his tray and give him a drink and something he will always eat, say a yoghurt or baby snack for example. The reason I say this, is that 9/10 times, my son will eat his preferred snack and then go back to the food from his original meal and eat some more. I have no idea why, but it seems to make all the difference. We usually don't offer things to him on a spoon, just give him a loaded spoon, or bite sized pieces on his tray and leave them there for him to pick at. Seems to help if you don't put so much in front of him too. If I have a bowl of pasta I only put a few bits on his tray. If I stuck the whole bowl in front of him he wouldn't even attempt it!
I hope you don't think i'm sticking my nose in where it isn't wanted. I just figured this out recently and mealtimes have gone a lot smoother since so wanted to share x
@Spazmaticme haha i can't stand to watch the first one! it makes me want to throw the computer. amazing how we change with time. i think you ARE my #1 fan :)
@Glitterbug thanks for this idea! i'm going to try it. it's pretty rare that i even attempt to give him anything i know he doesn't love anymore, it feels like a waste of money giving him broccoli or chicken nuggets, he won't touch them. he'll chug pediasure before bedtime though, so hopefully he'll stay healthy thanks again for the sugguestion!! xox
