Haven't they invented paperless crayons yet? The paper completely distracts us from any potential creative development we might get if we actually colored.
When we do get around to drawing, the only thing he requests be drawn for him is a sad whale. (Don't ask. I have no idea.)
Yes, "they" do make paperless crayons! Melissa & Doug brand crayons are fabulous! A bonus: they are practically unbreakable!
ReplyDeletehaha all my little man does is peel the paper too, forget the coloring..that's his favorite part...i'll have to get some of those paperless crayons!
ReplyDeleteI have Melissa & Doug crayons waiting for my two year olds stocking. They have a triangle shape to them for easy grip too...and the colors are so bright! Sad whale or not, it's a cute whale! Lol
ReplyDeletehttp://www.melissaanddoug.com/product/0/4159/_/Truck_Crayon_Set I think Carter would love the truck crayon set!
ReplyDeleteMelissa and Doug crayons are the best. Crayola also makes a twistable crayon that comes in a pencil like tube. No paper on that either and you can pick them up at Target or Wal-mart. :) I look so forward to crayon time, but as of yet we aren't big enough. I do gift crayons to every toddler and coloring book age child I know though. Because, you know, crayons are the best.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to look into the M&D crayons; glad I read these comments:) Scarlett just eats her crayons...it's so weird!
