I blew up one of the pictures I took last week into an 11x14 and bought a giant frame for it. I finagled it into the cardboard, taped it up and propped my prize on the staircase for some admiration.
Carter hurries over and takes in the giant portrait. His eyes were enormous when he recognized himself, and his face beamed with pride. I told him to sit in front of it and grabbed my phone for a picture.
I know. The quality of that picture is bad. But by the time I could set up my good camera, he was over it and off to look out the window and greet passing cars with a loud Hi!
He pretty much forgot about the picture until we put it on the wall later that night. After Daddy did some final measuring, Carter stared up at the first picture hung on a wall at our new house. More pride? Nope. He had a tantrum.
