We lost our cat four weeks ago when we moved. I took a long shot and wrote a small blurb about him on Craigslist with my contact info and the area we live in. I've never actually used Craigslist for anything ... I've looked at it a time or two when we needed say, a train table or a toy box, and I had a lot of Hmph, that'd be cool moments. But I've never followed through with any of it. People can't actually use this kind of thing to conduct life? I mean, what about ebay? 

Ok, I guess just typing the word 'ebay' did feel so 1996. 

Not more than 14 hours later, an email popped up on my phone. Found, gray cat. There were pictures of him and everything. 

I can't believe the world works this way. Through kindness. Concern. And savvy internet abilities.

We drove about a mile to pick him up from a really nice couple living in a townhome. He'd visited them a lot over the past three weeks and lost every ounce of fat he'd ever had. We brought him back to our new house and he got to come in and really look around for the first time. With the exception of Carter shrieking Hi, Gurrs! every time Tigger walks past, I'd say this cat's been in heaven.
