house

Ten days ago, our house looked liked this:

Today we have pretty stones, a shiny roof and a driveway.
Oh. And a random, dirty box.

Don't mind those toothpick things on the porch. They're probably just supporting the entire structure.

The inside is even more exciting. We have walls. Doors. Rich, dark wood kitchen cabinets. Crown moulding throughout the entire downstairs. Railing on the stairs. A fireplace. And - for the first time in the history of our marriage - a mantle above the fireplace. Watch out, Santa. You better not miss the stockings at our house this year.

Because they won't be scotch taped to the TV stand anymore.

I'll take some interior pictures tomorrow. Life is getting really exciting!

  3. Oh, it looks beautiful. How exciting! We just purchased a new build in May. It is fun but overwhelming wondering where to start first! I'm not good at the decorating so I really have no idea what I'm doing. And I want to do right by our beautiful house. I'm afraid I'm going to mess it up!
